Microsofts MSN Messenger 7 features numerous tabs on its left hand side filled with advertising and offers (such as MSN Music) that greatly distract from the focus of the program: Chatting with people! We show you a simple way to remove those tabs from Messenger 7:
1. Click on Start/Run and enter regedit. Click OK to start the registry editor.
2. Open up the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ MSNMessenger\PerPassportSettings
3. Open every key with a number (such as 3535....) and look for a value called DisableTabs. If it does not exist: Create it by right-clicking into the right part of the window and selecting New/DWORD value. Double-click on this value and enter 1.
After you have restarted Messenger wont ever trouble you with its ads again!
