It is vital to lock a certain amount of memory to such operations. Windows tries to detect the best settings depending on the size of your physical memory.

Windows-Tweaks recommends increasing the Input/Output page area:

1. Click Start/Run... and enter regedit. Hit OK to start the Registry Editor.

2. Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management key and double-click IoPageLockLimit. Check Decimal and enter the following numbers depending on your memory configuration:
