When you open and minimize a Window (from or to the taskbar), Windows XP displays a smooth animation by default. Slower computer with weak video cards might encounter a high processor usage while doing so - we recommend deactivating those unnecessary animations:
1. Right-click on an empty spot of your Windows desktop and select Properties. Now, go the Appearance tab and hit Effects.

2. Uncheck Use the following transition effect for menus and tooltips and click OK to make those superfluous special effects go away.
